Immature Cubanelle peppers are yellow-green and look like an elongated bell pepper or a banana wax paper. The peppers have thin skins but thick walls and a somewhat mild, sweet taste with a bit of heat. Mature Cubanelle are vibrant orange-red and hotter, though still sweet.
